We were wrapping up a shopping mall project when Powerlong Group mentioned something unexpected: 'We have a long-vacant residential compound for serivece apartaments. It would be great if we could create something extraordinary there'. This chance conversation sparked a new project for us at Nesso. While we have extensive experience in retail spaces, residential design was relatively new territory. As they say, it's all about finding common ground between parties, especially since residential design is deeply personal.

Located on a developing mountainside, the building, though raw, held immense potential for transformation. Through discussions, the client expressed a desire for a minimalist approach, emphasizing cleanliness without monotony. They aimed to maintain openness and a connection with the surrounding environment, aligning perfectly with the designers' vision.

Antonio and Abudi focused on refining the overall structure and design language. We opted for a subdued color palette, mainly using gray, and removed unnecessary decorations. Simple, fluid lines were employed to enhance spatial layers and play with light and shadow. The translucent, glossy texture of marble juxtaposed with the original wall materials created a striking textural contrast, leading to unexpectedly satisfying results.

Abudi reflected, Understanding the client's needs is crucial in our process. Our design style evolves fluidly, adapting to different contexts and narratives. If everything looks the same, it means we haven't grasped the project essence well enough.'
